Knowing your Partner
Danstel September 17,2020
When a relationship is contracted, it feels like it only involves two people: the man and the woman. It is not so, it might sound a little “woo-woo” at first, but don’t forget that relationships have its own life. The relationship itself is entirely another entity. It is a third being that needs love and support as much as the involved individuals. Think about it, if a woman has three years’ history with someone, the shared relationship is no longer just about the involved parties, it has become a mutual experience. Everything from side talks, to jokes, to goofy times, to fights and reconciliations becomes a collection of vitally important memories.
Looks decline; money comes and goes, but what doesn’t change is the commitment to the ‘Third Being’ (this entity we call a relationship). This third being can be nourished by honoring our partner, no matter what he or she is going through, “You can’t get mangoes from a mango tree that you don’t water” “Nourish each other and the relationship will be nourished”.
Never assume that relationships will take care of itself. Keep your joint experiences at the forefront of your mind as you interact with one another, and be sure to be kind and loving above all: Be gentle with each other,
Your relationship is way more important than material things; it is vital that you know each other’s boundaries so you never cross them. Remember knowing your partner is an integral part of sustaining the relationship. The more you are in tune with your partner, the better your chances are of having a healthy, long-lasting relationship.
